What We Build

Residential capabilities.

A short list of what we can build under the residential division. If you don't see your project here, ask — most of our best work has been the kind that doesn't fit a category.

Our Process

How a Red Oak project actually goes.

From the first conversation through move-in day, here's how we run a residential project — and what makes the difference between a build that finishes well and one that just finishes on paper.

01

Pre-Construction

Site analysis, realistic budgets, code and permitting strategy. By the time you sign a construction contract, the surprises are out of the way.

02

Design Collaboration

Hand-in-hand with your architect — or ours — on materials, mechanicals, and details, flagging buildability and cost issues before they become problems on site.

03

Construction

A small, consistent team of trades and supervisors. Weekly walkthroughs, honest accounting against the schedule and the budget, and a jobsite kept the way you'd expect.

04

Closeout & Aftercare

A real punch list, real follow-through, and a relationship that doesn't end the day you move in. Things should still feel right a year later.

Built for the next 100 years

The details that make a house actually last.

About half of what we build is energy-conscious construction. Even when a project isn't formally certified, we build to those standards — they're just how a house ought to perform.

  • 01
Building envelope Continuous air barriers, thermal-bridge-free assemblies, and balanced ventilation with heat recovery — the things you can't see that make a home quiet, efficient, and durable.
  • 02
Mechanical systems Right-sized, efficient, quiet. Heating and cooling matched to the load, plumbing that doesn't bang, ventilation that works without you noticing it.
  • 03
Materials Selected for how they age, not just how they show up at delivery. We talk about a finish at year five, not just at the final walk.
  • 04
Custom finish work Millwork, built-ins, stair rails, paneling — the details that make a house feel handmade, done by people who do this work every day.

I have always been impressed with their integrity and attention to detail. Red Oak treats every project as if it were their own.
